The price of chicken meat in Vietnam has dropped to its lowest level in ten years.

According to estimates in some parts of the country, poultry meat production has increased by more than 17%.

Commentators believe that the change in farming to chicken by many farmers in the country following the occurrence and outbreak of African swine fever has been one of the main causes of this phenomenon and some believe that the continued import of poultry meat into the country has exacerbated the problem.

However, according to some reports, the price of chicken meat has fallen by 50 cents per kg in the country's consumer market. A price that only accounts for half of the cost of producing this product. Experts believe that if the current trend continues, many of the country's producers will be out of production in the coming months.

According to officials, the United States with a 44 percent share is the largest importer of chicken meat.
