Since the beginning of 2019, more than 11 different locations in Vietnam have been infected with HPAI.

The H5N1 and H5N6 viruses have been responsible for the killing or culling of more than 23,000 poultry this year- According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam.

Vietnamese researchers believe that climate change and increased poultry transportation in the coming months before the start of the New Year can increase the likelihood of the disease.

For this reason, various cities across the country have received training on the prevention and control of this disease.

According to estimates between 2003 and, 2006 more than 45 million poultry in the country died or culled as a result of the spread of disease.
