Yesterday, Ductor Company opened its first organic and biogas fertilizer plant in Jalisco, Mexico. This is the first time that poultry manure has been used to produce two separate crops that significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the energy and agricultural sectors.
In this way, farmers will be able to replace fossil fuels with the plant's products.
Over the past 40 years, more than 30 percent of the world's croplands have been barren following a 10 to 40 percent increase in soil degradation rate. This will inevitably reduce food security and environmental quality. Experts believe that the company's biotechnological products will slow the trend.
The Ductor is currently implementing several other similar projects in the US and Europe.
