Pakistan all set to enter China’s $15bln Animal Protein market

Pakistan is trying for a share of $ 12-15 billion from the Chinese food protein market.

The two countries have recently signed two cooperative agreements in the agricultural and livestock sectors.

Agreements create a free trade zone between the two countries and analysts believe that by signing this 5-year partnership agreement, Pakistan's access will not only extend to the Chinese markets, which will also be extended to Indonesia. China is the fourth largest export market in Pakistan.

The Pakistani government expects to provide this opportunity to partner with China on agriculture, under the platform provided by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Pakistan currently exports its products to the Persian Gulf Countries, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
