China launches anti-dumping investigation into methionine imports

China launches anti-dumping investigation on imports of methionine to this country .

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC),will focus on the imported methionine product from Singapore, Malaysia and Japan .

This action was taken under conditions when the ministry set to review its anti-dumping tariffs on imports from the United States of distillers grains (DDGS), an animal feed ingredient, according to a document issued by the China Alcoholic Drinks Association.

According to the announcement, the investigation should end by April 10, 2020, but commentators believe that the results will not be published until October 2020.
