Insect Feed Market will reach over $896 million by 2026

The size of the global insect feed market will reach over $896 million by 2026.

Today, insects used as a source of protein for feed, supply has less market penetration than products such as soybean and fish meal.

But estimates from in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis of global markets suggest that the market of insect feed will surpass $ 161 million this year and 40% of this product will use as poultry feed.

Commentators believe the CAGR will be 27.4 percent between 2020 and 2026. Europeans, with a 50% share in the production of insects, outpaced their next rival, Asia-Pacific, by 25%.

The FAO report indicates that poultry feed protein accounts for more than 65 percent of the cost of feed.

Grasshoppers, crickets, cockroaches, termites, lice, stink bugs, cicadas, aphids, scale insects, psyllids, beetles, caterpillars, flies, fleas, bees, wasps, and ants have been used as complementary food sources for poultry.
